Want to give your thermostat control a more descriptive name? Whether you’re distinguishing between a pool and spa or simply want something more personalized than the default name, renaming your thermostat control is quick and easy using the Poolside mobile app.
Step 1: Enter Installer Mode
- Open the Poolside app on your mobile device.
- Tap the Hamburger Menu icon (≡) in the top-right corner.
- Select Maintenance from the list.
- Tap Installer Mode.
Step 2: Select the Body of Water
- Select Site from the top tabs.
- Select the Body of Water (e.g., Pool, Spa) where you’d like to customize the thermostat name.
Step 3: Update the Thermostat Name
- Scroll down until you find the field labeled Temperature Control Name.
- Tap on the field and enter your desired name to replace the default.
- Tap Apply to save the new name.
- Tap Save.
- Exit Installer Mode.
Note: Name space is limited. For the best display experience across the app, use short names or abbreviations like “Heat” or “Cool” or “Heater.”
You’re Done!
The new name will now appear anywhere the temperature control is displayed within the app.
