Wiring Pentair Chemical Dispense Pumps

Pentair 24VDC Pumps

Ports to connect to on The Attendant: RELAY1 – RELAY8 or Heater H1 – H5

Please note for NSF 50 compliant configurations you must use Relays 1 – 8 to power your pumps.

Pentair IntelliChem pumps or pump and tank combos may be used with The Attendant for chemical dosing. The following guide describes the recommended way to connect these pumps to The Attendant.

The following part numbers are supported:

522472 – Acid Tank with Tank Mounted Pump for IntelliChem
522473 – Chlorine Tank with Tank Mounted Pump for IntelliChem

Pentair IntelliChem pumps require a 24VDC power supply. We recommended using a Meanwell LPV-60-24 power supply to drive 1 or 2 pumps. Other power supplies capable of 24VDC output at 2.5A or greater may be used.

Please reference the diagram below for how to wire two dosing pumps.

  1. Connect the Meanwell LPV-60-24 power supply inputs directly to a breaker.
  2. Connect the positive DC output from the Meanwell LPV-60-24 power supply to relays as pictured below. Be sure to connect the Red (+) output to the leftmost bottom row lug on the relay and the Black (-) output to the third bottom row lug from the left.
  3. Connect the pump to the relay. Attach the White (+) pump cable to the second lug from the left on the bottom row of the relay. Attach the Black (-) wire from the pump to the rightmost lug on the bottom row of the relay.
  4. If you are attaching two pumps please splice your wires as per the diagram.
