Notifications with The Attendant

Your pool should work for you—not the other way around. With The Attendant’s notifications feature, you can now stay on top of what’s happening with your system in real time. Whether it’s water chemistry alerts, equipment updates, or reminders, you’ll have the flexibility to decide what matters most to you.

Why Notifications Matter

Keeping your pool healthy and equipment running smoothly often comes down to timing. Notifications make it easy to:

  • Catch issues early – Get alerts for unusual readings or system errors before they become problems.
  • Stay in control – Know when settings change, features activate, or maintenance is due.
  • Save time and money – Quick updates mean fewer surprises and better efficiency.

Accessing the Notifications Menu

Follow these steps to open and manage your notification settings in the Poolside mobile app:

  1. Open the Poolside App on your mobile device.
  2. Tap the hamburger menu icon (☰) in the top right corner.
  3. Select Account from the menu.
  4. Tap Notifications.

You will now see the full list of available notifications.

In the next section, we’ll go through notification options and explain what it means.

Customizing your Notifications

On the Notification Preferences screen, you’ll see a list of alerts available. For each alert, you can choose to receive a push notification on your mobile device and/or an email notification sent to your registered email address.

In the next section, we’ll review the available notifications and explain what each one means, and show you how to access the advanced menu for further customization.

Note: Some notification options may not apply to your specific system configuration.

Advanced Notification Settings

Each alert can be customized further through its Advanced Settings. To access these options, tap the icon to the right of the alert name.

Opening the Advanced Settings for a specific alert will display customization options. These options may vary depending on the alert type.

From this screen, you can:

  • Select Push or Email at the top of the alert to customize how the notification is delivered.
  • Set a notification delay, determining how long the system waits before sending the alert.

To access additional options, tap the blue bar labeled “Add Override.” This will open the Advanced Overrides menu, where you can configure more detailed rules for that notification.

Override Type

  • Site – Restrict alerts to a specific property. Useful if you manage multiple sites or are a service professional.
  • Category – Filter alerts by type: Equipment Failure, Water Quality, or Other.

Enabled
Choose whether the override is set to Enable, Disable, or Not Set.

Delay
Apply a delay specific to this override, allowing the system to wait a set duration before sending the alert.

Suspend Until
Select a date and time to temporarily pause the notification. The alert will resume automatically once the suspension period ends.

Customizable notifications give you the power to stay informed without being overwhelmed. By tailoring your preferences and using Overrides wisely, you can ensure you only receive the alerts that matter most to you. With the right setup, The Attendant keeps you connected, proactive, and in control of your pool—so you can spend less time managing and more time enjoying.
