The Attendant requires a constant, stable Internet connection in order to provide the best experience and all of the features its capable of. If you ever need to update the Internet connection settings, here’s how to do it.
The Attendant
From The Attendant’s main display, tap on the “Settings” icon along the left-side menu. Then, tap on the “Network” section which shows the current Wi-Fi network it’s connected to.
On the following screen, you can find the list of networks that are within range of The Attendant. If you do not see the name of the network you are trying to connect to, refresh the list by tapping the re-scan button.
Once you see the network you wish to connect to, tap on the name from the list.
Input the passphrase (or password) and press Enter.
You will see a status message on the screen as The Attendant connects to the network.
If the keyboard reappears and asks for the passphrase again, this means the passphrase previously entered was incorrect. You should re-enter the password and try again.
Once successful, you will be returned to the main “Settings” screen where you should now see the new network!
The Attendant Mini
Changing wifi networks or updating the password for The Attendant Mini is a bit different, as the Mini does not have a display for you to be able to tap on. You’ll need to use the mobile app and connect via Bluetooth to update a password or change wifi networks.
Before starting, make sure you are physically close to where the Attendant Mini is installed. You are not able to update wifi settings unless you are within 30 feet/10 meters of it.
To begin, open the mobile app and tap on the Hamburger menu at the top right of the screen.
Then tap on the site you’d like to change.
Here you will see the site details. Ensure that it says “Currently Selected” and tap on the arrow to proceed. (You might need to tap on “Select Site”.)
Scroll down to the bottom of the next screen, and tap on “Manage Internet Connection.”
Press the “Connect” button on the Attendant Mini once. It should begin flashing red.
Once the serial number appears at the bottom of the screen, press Next.
Select the wifi network you’d like to connect to from the list of networks found within range of the Attendant Mini.
Input the network password, and tap “Connect”
