BLACK+DECKER Variable Speed Pumps

Ports to connect to on The Attendant: BUS1 – BUS4
Ports to connect to on The Attendant Mini: BUS1 – BUS2

Please note that Black + Decker pumps only support unidirectional communication. This creates several important limitations for customers using these pumps on Attendant-controlled pools:

1. The Attendant cannot generate an alert if communication to the pump is lost.
2. The Attendant cannot receive or report pump fault/error conditions.
3. The Attendant cannot verify the pump’s actual operating state or notify you if it differs from the commanded state.
4. If the pump loses power and restarts, it may begin running unexpectedly when the Attendant does not intend it to, or it may fail to restart when operation is expected.

Because of these limitations, we strongly recommend wiring these pumps through a relay using the Attendant Power Port feature on pools equipped with covers, where reliable pump state control is especially important.

It is possible to change the pump address by pressing and holding the Settings/Enter button. The pump will show the current address (default 1). You may update the value by pressing the up/down buttons.
