Pentair iS4 4-Function Spa Side Remote

Spa side remotes are a common feature that many people enjoy in their spa and The Attendant is capable of connecting to the Pentair iS4 remote.

When connected to the Attendant, a Pentair iS4 Remote can be used to control pool and spa features such as heating, lighting, water features and more.

Connect the Pentair IS4 Remote to the Attendant flow switch ports as shown:

NOTE
The orange (LMP) wire on the iS4 remote is not used.

After you have wired the remote as shown, use The Attendant mobile app in Installer Mode to add a ‘Button’ type device for each button.  From there you can program the button using the Map Push Buttons option on the maintenance menu.

Configuring the Functionality of Each Button

To define what each button on the remote should do when pressed, you will use the Poolside Mobile App.

Using the Poolside Mobile App, tap on the hamburger menu, and select Maintenance, then Map Push Buttons.

Tap the plus (+) button to add a new record. Select an available remote button from the list named Button.

Then, select a Target control that you would like to operate using this button. You can select anythin from the list.

Depending on the control you’ve selected, you can do the following:

  • Toggle – Purely toggles a control ON or OFF and does not set other values like color, brightness, or speed.
  • Set – This sets a value for the control, like the temperature of a heater – and turns it on.
  • Increase – This increases the set point or power level of a control. An example would be increasing the speed of a water pump.
  • Decrease – This will decrease the set point of power level of a control. Turning the temperature down on a heater control for example.

NOTE: Not every option will be available for each type of control.

Press Save once you are finished. You can use that button immediately afterwards.

Repeat these steps for the remaining buttons that you would like to use on the remote.
