Moov TurboSilence and Inverter Heat Pumps

Models MR550, MR650, MR750, MI500, MI650, MI650X, MI900, MI1100, MI1400, MTS50, MTS65, MTS90, MTS110, MTS140

Ports to connect on The Attendant: BUS1 – BUS4 or Heater H1 – H5
Ports to connect on The Attendant Mini: BUS1 – BUS2 or Heater H1 – H2

These devices should only be powered directly from the power center or breaker panel. Do not run electricity through a relay as The Attendant will control the device to turn on/off by using the communication cable.

In order to perform RS-485 you need to have the following connection cable provided by Moov:

These cables are not shipped as standard with the heat pump and must be purchased separately.

Please consult the directions below for installing the communication cable depending on your units discharge type:

Horizontal Units

Remove Top Cover

Remove Electrical Box Cover

Locate Modbus Port (BAG+12V)

Insert the communication cable plug into the BAG+12V connector


Use a cable tie to neatly organize the communication cable with the rest of the cables

Remove the terminal block box cover

Pass the communication cable through the wire hole and secure it with wire buckle

Connect the communication cable to the Attendant

Vertical Units

Remove the front panel and disconnect the connector between the controller and PC Board

Remove the electrical box cover

Locate the BAG+12V connector and insert the communication cable plug into it

Neatly organize the communication cable with the rest of the cables using a cable tie

Run the communication cable through the wire channel and out the wiring hole

Connect the communication cable to the Attendant

After you connect and route the communication cable inside the heat pump please terminate the Red and White conductors on the Attendant as shown.

Dry Contact / Fireman Switch Connection


Note: This connection type is available on ALL Moov heat pump model.

This connection method controls ON/OFF of the heat pump via a dry contact/firemans switch connection using contacts 5 & 6 on the heat pump’s internal Terminal Board.

Please follow all of the manufacturer’s safety and installation instructions when attempting to connect this device to The Attendant! FAILURE TO DO SO COULD RESULT IN DEATH, SERIOUS INJURY, OR PROPERTY DAMAGE!

Use two conductor 18-22AWG cable to connect the 5/6 contact connector from the heat pump to one of the available Heater ports (H1 – H5) on The Attendant.

Creating the Device in the Poolside Mobile App

Using the Poolside mobile app, add or edit a Heat Pump device in Installer Mode.

Brand: Generic

Model: Generic Heat Pump

Check the box labelled “Supports Heating

In the “Ports” section, select Heater as the port type, and select the Heater port number you connected the pigtail cable to.

Press Apply and then Save.
