Autofill and Water Leveling Recommended Components List

To effectively utilize the built-in Water Leveling System on The Attendant, it’s essential to have a reliable method for detecting the water level in your pool. Below are several options to achieve this:

Water Level Sensors

  1. Zodiac 2-Contact Sensor (Models S2040/S2042/S2044)
  2. Zodiac 3-Contact Sensor (Models S3040/S3042/S3044)
Specifically designed for static pipe installations or pools with “Negative Edge” or “Infinity Pool” features.
  3. Alternative Float Switch
You may also choose any float switch of your preference, ensuring it meets your installation requirements.

Regardless of the sensor you select, it’s crucial to adhere to the manufacturer’s installation guidelines. This may involve constructing a static pipe with a connecting equalizing tube to integrate the sensor into your pool or spa setup.

Examples of Float Switches:

  • Level Sense 15 Feet Water Level Float Switch with Mounting Bracket (LS-FLOAT-KIT)
  • Madison M8000 Liquid Level Sensor (Miniature Vertical Float Switch, Polypropylene, 1/8″ NPT)

Solenoid Valve and Power Supply

To add domestic water to the pool, you will also need a solenoid valve and a means of powering it. Recommended components include:

Relay Requirements

You will need to use either one High Voltage Relay or one Low Voltage Relay (H1-5) for each solenoid valve on The Attendant to power the transformer and activate the valve.

When wiring through a Low Voltage Relay, ensure the solenoid valve does not exceed 0.5 amps. Exceeding this limit can cause damage to the board.
